Audi has exposed a new coupe version of their RS models well equipped to debut at the forthcoming Geneva Auto Show. Audi RS 5, the hottest torchbearer in a tradition dating back past 15 years to the RS 2 Avant, launches new quattro technology.
Similar to all RS models, Audi RS 5 also gives its power to the road with quattro permanent all-wheel drive. As for the major differential, which regulates power distribution among the front & rear axles, Audi unveils the forthcoming generation, a crown-gear differential, of which itself locking crown-gear center differential is compact, lightweight & attains a high efficiency ratio. The RS 5 efficiency is made likely by the technologies from the Audi modular efficiency platform, which gives the 8 cylinder engine averages 10.8 liters of fuel / 100 kilometers.
The RS 5 dynamic external comes with chassis that is lower than that of the Audi A5, with typical tires 19-inch alloy wheels with 265/35. Created by quattro GmbH, the RS models of Audi, with RS 5, consist of the dynamic spearhead of Audi‘s model series. The spoiler in the tailgate mechanically extends at a speed of 120 km/h & retracts at 80 km/h. Also, the widely clad underbody of the RS 5 integrates air vents for the 7 speed Stronic & the front brakes.
In the inner, sports seats with pronounced side sections attribute a leather/Alcantara combination. The inner is black & the decorative inlays are finished of carbon fiber. Upon request, exclusive qualities are available. In addition, the Audi exclusive RS program gives options such as suede-covered controls & floor mats bearing RS 5 logos. Sales of the Audi RS 5 will start in the spring with a predictable basic price 77,700 Euros.
