The New 2010 Kia Ray Plug-in Hybrid car

Kia Motors has newly functional a green technology on a vehicle they unveiled at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show, Kia Ray Plug-in Hybrid idea. This new Hybrid Concept, which is based on the Kia Forte platform, launch a lower profile of hybrid vehicles concept which is carried out in EcoDynamics philosophy of a curvaceous shape with ground-breaking fuel-stretching and emissions-spiteful technologies.

Kia Ray Plug-in Hybrid Concept is intended in a lowered mono-volume curvaceous shape for enhanced aerodynamics, while the use of lightweight and eco-friendly recycled materials is what had prepared it called EcoDynamics. To hold up this, the Ray” employs new “cool car” technology, with nano-laminate films & cool-glazing materials to decrease solar heat & show how keeping the inner cool while dipping air conditioning loads & greenhouse emissions. In adding, The “Ray” interior is also stuffed with eco-friendly recycled materials, which is reinforced by green technology characteristic of the all-new GreenEdgeTM system by Infinity® Audio.

Kia Ray Plug-in Hybrid idea is powered by an all-aluminum 153-horsepower Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) 1.4-litre engine mated to a permanently-engaged preset ratio Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which is used in mixture with a 78kw electric motor. To give confidence economical driving, the “Ray” is equipped with an engine-power saving alternator management system & a toggle gear-shift indicator. Moreover, the manually-designed low-rolling resistance tyres by a hexagon pattern in narrow 20-inch (195/50R20) creation also give to advance efficiency.
