The new 2010 Fiat Abarth Punto Evo

Fiat Abarth Punto Evo is the effect of a partnership among Fiat Powertrain Technology & Abarth race-derived know-how. From the time when the Fiat Powertrain engine was first presented at last year’s Geneva motor show, Abarth has been mounting its power with its new 165 HP Multiair 1.4 turbo petrol engine & improving its sporting performance in classic Abarth style.

In keeping with Abarth tradition, a high performance “SS” kit, comes with a classic wooden performance case, is situate to give the Punto Evo more power than the basic model, enabling the Multiair 1.4 16v Turbo engine to make a maximum power of 180 HP. The “SS” kit comes with alterations to chassis components, including 18? Abarth “SS” alloy wheels fitted with performance tires.

The new Abarth Punto Evo also offers a new performance mode selection system that modulates engine, braking & steering action to present an option of 2 different driving styles: Sport & Normal. And as in rally cars, the driver is supported by Gear Shift Indicator.

On improving the car’s performance & aerodynamics, the front bumper has been expanded in width to incorporate the side flaps. The black intake cowl on the front has also been prepared deeper to match the lateral air outlets. And the wheels are offered with the completely redesigned 17” spooked wheels. To provide safe handling, the Abarth Punto Evo is made with TTC (Torque Transfer Control). It is also supported by a powerful & effective braking system.
